Contract: Permanent-required as soon as possible for 10 hours per week term time only (42 weeks per year)

The Governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed cleaner. The role, which is to begin in September 2021, requires a real team player and an individual who can help to maintain the highest possible standards.
The successful candidate would be able to show initiative, take pride in their work, be able to work without supervision and be part of our friendly, caring team. It is essential that the successful applicant has effective communication skills and will enjoy the variety and challenges of a busy, creative school environment.
You will be required to:
- Be responsible for the cleaning duties of fixtures, fitting and the internal fabric of school buildings and outside areas.
- Undertake specialist cleaning tasks.
- Ensure the safe use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment
- Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning equipment and materials.
The successful candidate will be:
- Diligent and hardworking
- Able to work both independently and take direction as part of a team approach to cleaning
To be a success Cleaner we are looking for a candidate who is able to prioritise their work, is able to support students, has a professional relationship with colleagues and is able to be flexible in how they work.
Visits to the school are welcomed, but due to COVID restrictions this will have to be after the school day.
